Well, we all know Clifton Chenier as the King of the Zydeco. If you do not have that album, you need to go out and get youself some. Cause that album is awesome. It’s Zydeco music and that just puts me in a good place. But this blues song from him is one of my favorite songs ever.  I just love it.

Sorry I have been absent, I was in China for the last two weeks and they have placed WordPress along with Facebook and Youtube as websites they have banned. Oh well. Got back Saturday around 1 am.  Trying to get back on schedule.

I am home with my third cold in 2 weeks. Going to New Orleans this Friday!!! I am super psyched. I will post some of my China trip in the next few days.

Perhaps my favorite of all Blues Musicians, Mr. Albert King.  In addition to his amazing voice, the guy is a tremendous guitar player.  I am thinking my favorite guitar player of all time. That poor guitar, it almost feels at time the guitar itself is crying out for help.   Known as the Velvet Bulldozer, the man was like 6’5 250 when he was dieting.  A force to reckon with for sure. If you have to listen to one album, check out his live album in Chicago 1978.  Oh my.

Had a wonderful weekend. It’s always too short. We went up state to the Berkshires. Our friends are getting married and we have offered to cater their wedding at our cost. We had gone up with them to Millerton where we got to see the farm they will be holding the event.

It’s a beautiful space and we feel so lucky to be able to have the ability to help them.

So, just as we settled in to the relaxed lifestyle, it was time to head back to honking horns and the realities of life.

Born January 27th, 1918. Elmore James one of the more influential guitar players and blues musicians.  He is definitely one of my favorites.
